ROME, April 4 (Xinhua) -- Italy's unemployment fell by 0.2 percentage point to 10.9 percent in February over the previous month, Italian statistics institute ISTAT reported Wednesday.

The drop was concentrated among women and individuals aged 25-49, the institute said.

Youth unemployment, however, rose by 0.3 percentage point to 32.8 percent in the same period.

A total of 23 million people were employed and 2.8 million were unemployed in February, according to ISTAT.

Meanwhile, the statistics institute reported that Italy's debt-to-GDP ratio stood at 1.6 percent in the last quarter of 2017, down from 1.9 percent in the same period the previous year.
