LUSAKA, June 27 (Xinhua) -- The Malawi government on Wednesday said it values Zambia's advancement in various sectors and was keen to learn from the experience.

Warren Gunda, Malawi's High Commissioner to Zambia, said his country was proud of what Zambia has achieved in agriculture, health and political sectors, among others, and that it was because of such achievements that Malawi keeps on emulating what Zambia was doing.

"Every month there is a delegation from Malawi coming to Zambia to learn on what Zambia is doing. In the recent past there have been delegations of university professors, defense personnel and health experts who have come to learn about what their counterparts here are doing," he said when he paid a courtesy call on Housing and Infrastructure Minister Ronald Chitotela.

The Malawian envoy added that his country wanted to learn the best practices which Zambia was doing in various sectors and expressed happiness over the warm bilateral relations that have existed between the two countries.

Malawi, he said, was also following with pride and interest the infrastructure development that Zambia was implementing countrywide.

The Zambian minister said the country values the warm and bilateral relation that exists between the two countries.

Zambia, he said, will continue to promote co-existence and trade with Malawi because the two countries have a lot in common, adding that the two countries were currently co-sponsoring the construction of a modern border post to easy movement of people.
