BEIJING, April 19 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 jolted northern Sumatra, Indonesia, at 2006 GMT on Saturday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 1.29 degrees north latitude and 97.21 degrees east longitude. ■
