BERLIN, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) -- A light aircraft and a helicopter collided in the mid-air near Philippsburg, a town in the district of Karlsruhe in Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany on Tuesday.

Both the aircraft and the helicopter had crashed between Rheinhausen and the Erlichsee, said a police spokesman, adding that how many people were involved in the accident and how the collision happened were initially unclear.
