MOSCOW, June 12 (Xinhua) -- France forward Kylian Mbappe has played down concerns about his fitness for the World Cup in Russia after suffering an injury scare while training on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old Paris Saint-Germain player left training early following a tackle from defender Adil Rami at the Glebovets Stadium in Istra, near Moscow.

"I'm fine, it was only a knock," Mbappe said on Twitter.

France will begin their World Cup campaign against Australia in Kazan on Saturday. Les Bleus will also meet Peru and Denmark in Group C.

Mbappe scored 21 goals in 44 games across all competitions last season following his 180 million euro move from Monaco in August. Enditem
