NEW DELHI, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- India and Myanmar have agreed to act against insurgent groups operating on their soil during a two-day delegation-level meeting in Delhi that concluded Friday.

The Indian delegation was led by Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba while the Myanmar delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Major General Aung Thu.

During the meeting, both parties decided to cooperate in preventing smuggling of wildlife and narcotic drugs, an official statement said.

The two sides also agreed on security cooperation and facilitating movement of people and trade across the international border, it said.

They have also decided to strengthen cooperation on international border management, including construction of subsidiary pillars to better demarcate the border, the statement added.
