NEW YORK, April 14 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted 66 km SSE of Kushiro, Japan at 20:28:31 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 45.56 km, was initially determined to be at 42.4592 degrees north latitude and 144.7935 degrees east longitude.
