Built in 1880 for the 50th anniversary of the independence of Belgium, the Cinquantenaire (50th anniversary) in east part of Brussels is a park comprised of a vast set of gardens dotted with monuments and museums. It covers an area of about 30 hectares and it is dominated by a triumphal arch with three arches.
