BEIJING, July 12 (Xinhua) -- "The White Storm 2: Drug Lords" continued topping the Chinese mainland box office on Thursday, China Movie Data Information Network reported Friday.

The Chinese anti-drug action film grossed 64.39 million yuan (9.37 million U.S. dollars), accounting for 56.6 percent of the daily ticket sales.

"Spider-Man: Far from Home," the latest installment of the acclaimed Marvel Cinematic Universe, ranked the second, pulling in 24.71 million yuan.

Coming in the third is Universal and Illumination's "The Secret Life of Pets 2", which grossed 8.73 million yuan.

"The White Storm 2: Drug Lords" boasted a total box office of 721 million yuan since its July 5 premiere on the Chinese mainland.
