HANGZHOU, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- Premium fashion brands including Burberry will debut their new coutures next month at a fashion show on the picturesque Broken Bridge, the organizers said Friday.

As a key event of Alibaba's annual Taobao Maker Festival, the fashion show is scheduled to kick off on Sept. 12 on the iconic West Lake in Hangzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province.

Streetwear brands and independent designers will capture the latest fashion trends of young Chinese people with their new collections and limited editions for the show.

Top stars from home and abroad have been invited to show the unique charm of oriental aesthetics on the floating T-stage, dressed in costumes that highlight the elements of Chinese national treasures.

Chris Tung, chief marketing officer at Alibaba Group, said the grand show will innovatively bring together global fashion and traditional Chinese culture.

The first Broken Bridge fashion show was held last year at the Taobao Maker Festival, a big event Alibaba holds each year to showcase the latest creations of young Chinese designers. Enditem
