BEIJING, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- The first rehearsal for the 2020 Spring Festival Gala has been held, said the China Media Group (CMG) Wednesday.

Apart from the main venue at CMG headquarters in Beijing, this year's gala will include remote sub-venues in central China's Zhengzhou and in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The gala will be broadcast live on Jan. 24, the eve of the Chinese Lunar New Year.

Meanwhile, the CMG will also produce an 8K version of the gala.
